Dad’s Pizza Dough

Dad’s Pizza Dough

Prep: Cook: Total:

  • 4 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp kosher salt
  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 1/2 Cups Warm Water
  • 4 Cups Bread Flour
  • 2 tsp bread yeast
  • Semolina Flour
  • 1 Block Fresh Mozzarella Cheese (part skim)
  • 10 Roma Tomatoes
  • Basil
  • Oregano
  1. Mix Sugar, Salt, Olive Oil, Water, Flour, and Yeast
  2. Let mixer knead dough for about 5 minutes, or until nice and elastic.
  3. Coat bowl with a little bit of olive oil
  4. Spin dough around coated bowl
  5. Let the dough rise overnight in the fridge, or during the day in a warm place
  6. Assemble The Pizza
  7. Preheat the oven to 500 degrees, and make sure the rack is in the lowest slot
  8. Cut tomatoes and mozzarella into thin slices
  9. Divide the dough into four chunks
  10. Roll out one chunk of dough to roughly a 14 inch circle
  11. Toss in the air, if you dare!
  12. Use semolina flour on the pizza peel, to keep the dough from sticking
  13. Put the dough on the pizza peel
  14. Add tomatoes, mozzarella, basil and oregano, in that order
  15. Bake the pizza for about six minutes
  16. Let pizza stand to cool for about 1-2 minutes
  17. Slice and Enjoy!
