Sesame Crusted Salmon

Sesame Crusted Salmon

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 T honey
  • 1 (1 inch) piece of minced ginger
  • 2 t orange zest
  • 2 t chilli sauce
  • white sesame seeds
  • black sesame seeds
  • 4 skin on atlantic salmon fillets
  • 1 egg white
  • 3 T sesame oil
  1. 1. in a small bowl whisk soy sauce, 2 T of honey, ginger, orange zest and chilli sauce
  2. 2. combine the white and black sesame seeds in a seperate bowl
  3. 3. heat skillet to medium with sesame oil
  4. 4. brush egg white on salmon tops and coat in sesame seeds
  5. 5. once the skillet is hot add the salmon, sesame seed side down and skin side up
  6. 6. cook for 2-3 minutes before flipping and cooking for another 2-3 minutes
  7. 7. once flipped add remaining 2 T of honey, drizzled over salmon and
  8. 8. once down move to plate and pour sauce, let sit for a minute before serving
