Understanding Categories

Everything we do seems to be group into neat little groups. Somehow we feel better about life if we can organize it.

Cars are grouped by how fast they are, how big they are, as to whether they are family cars or sport cars. Try to think of at least 4 words to describe the next car you see. Such as : Small, fast, loud and red.

Categories describe or identify items and categorize  them into neat little groups. Apply the same thought to describing recipes. Several Categories that may describe or identify a recipe are :

dessert
beef
Low Salt
dad's favorite
hamburger
chinese
ice Cream
garlic
italian
quick & easy
picnic
chicken

The true reason for doing all of this is to group recipes of the same topic. After all, we generally buy single topic cookbooks. How many cookbooks do you have that are only Desserts?

You may add new Categories to Recipe Box by clicking the Categories button of the Misc Stuff tab:

A Search for the Category of 'chocolate' will group together all recipes with that category.
