Publishing your own Cookbook

Computers are great, but there is nothing like a good book to make one feel comfortable. Creating a cookbook is a great gift for your friends, or to share with other cooks.

If you have a good word processor on your PC, you are ready to create your own cookbook:

Using Recipe Box, Export  your recipes to a text file:

• Select format as: Cookbook Format

• Select the cookbook you want to publish

• Select current cookbook

• Click start to export your recipes to the text file.
   

Once complete, you may then start your word processor and edit the recipe.txt file.  You may replace the filename recipe.txt with any name of your choice.  

The exported text file will look similar to:

Using your favorite word processor:

1. Read the text file

2. Arrange your recipes to your liking

3. Create a table of contents or index

4. Design a cover page

5. Print the Cookbook
