Create a Recipe Import text file
The easiest way to describe the correct format for the text file is by example. Select Misc Stuff, Export Recipes from the main tabs. Select which recipes you want to export and select `Recipe Box Import Format' from the format panel. Provide a file name and click on the Start button.
Use an editor; such as notepad to view the export file, it should look something like this:

Notice the 3 flags in the text:
<S> start of new recipe
<I> start of Ingredient List
<P> start of Preparation Text
The flags tell the import process when to change from one mode to another. Each recipe must contain all 3 flags.
To import these recipes, select Misc Stuff, Import Recipes from the main tabs. Select the cookbook and the import filename (same as the export filename) and then click on Verify Import button.
The first validation item is to check the flags. If one is missing, the first process step will display an error message. At this time you must use your editor to add in the required flag and start the conversion again.
After all the required flags have been verified, the second validation process will check for the correct number of lines between each flag.
After the <S> flag, the following lines are required:
Recipe Name
Description
Serving Size
Category List
The Description and Category List may be left blank, but a blank line must be present. Recipe Name and Serving Size cannot be blank.
Category names cannot exceed 16 characters. Up to six categories may be listed on the category line. Each category must me separated by a colon.
WARNING: All categories must appear on one line, separated by colons.
Ingredients and Preparation text is not required, but the 2 flags <I> & <P> must be present.
Once the validation process is complete, you may click the 'Import Recipes' button to start the import process. As the conversion proceeds, each recipe name will be displayed on the screen.
After all the recipes are imported, select Recipes, Current Cookbook to view and each recipe for correctness and alter as necessary.
